A family run group of businesses on the outskirts of Exeter has diversified with the launch of White Horse Self Storage.
The latest addition to the White Horse group comes after the motor dealers acquired a former car breakers’ premises last year and then spent around nine months carrying out a major refurbishment and installing new perimeter fencing and CCTV.
The new storage facility is located adjacent to the group’s existing motors and rentals site on the Tedburn Road at Whitestone.
Paul Lamb-Cooper has joined as self storage manager, with existing staff now working across the motors, rentals and storage businesses.
Marketing manager Tim Wood said the company had made a substantial investment in bringing the new premises up to the Caravan Storage Site Owners’ Association’s gold standard.
“We had a very extensive audit of the site, which specified things like where barriers, security gates and fire extinguishers had to be,” he said. “It gives customers that extra peace of mind and reassurance.”
Tim added that the new business aims to cater for commercial and domestic customers, with strong demand already from local caravan owners.
