Two youngsters from Sidmouth will make their television debuts alongside their rugby heroes after starring in a series of adverts for Premiership sponsor Aviva.
Jack Garner and Finn Cotton, both eight, were selected to represent Exeter Chiefs after a nationwide hunt at every Premiership ground for the biggest fans of each club.
A crew then filmed, interviewed and photographed the pair at a training session at Sidmouth Rugby Club.
And the pair – who both go to St Peter’s Primary School in Budleigh Salterton – were absolutely ecstatic at the chance of making an appearance in front of the cameras.
“It’s cool because you get to be on TV. My friends have been asking when it’s going to be on because they want to watch it,” said Garner.
Cotton went on: “It’s brilliant because it’s a once in a lifetime experience, I just couldn’t believe it.”
Jack’s mum Rachel Garner confirmed that they would have been hard-pushed to find more fanatical Chiefs fans.
“They eat, breathe and sleep rugby and it’s a great opportunity for them,” she said.
“Jack Nowell is Jack’s hero, he has pictures all over the wall of him, we’ve umpteen numbers of autographs from programmes of all of the Chiefs players.
“In fact, I know most of the Chiefs players now – and if he’s not at school or asleep he’s playing rugby, watching rugby or reading about rugby.”
The adverts were due to start on ITV on Sunday, and will wrap around the Aviva Premiership highlights show.
