Fire crews rescue cat that was stuck 20 metres up a tree for several days

A cat has been at the centre of a dramatic rescue in Devon this evening after it became stuck 20metres up a tree for several days.

The RSPCA requested the attendance of fire crews to assist with the rescue of a cat which had been stuck 20 metres up a tree in Eggesford Forest, Chulmleigh for several days.

An Officer made an initial attendance to assess the scene at 18:42 today and a request was made for the Aerial Ladder Platform to attend.

On arrival crews were able to gain access to the cat 20 metres up a tree and successfully retrieve the animal.
