REVIEW

Babbacombe Theatre

All-round entertainer Andy Oakley is the lynch-pin in this fun and festive show, linking acts with his anecdotes, telling tall tales and making audiences laugh with monologues told in his own laid-back style. A seasoned and versatile performer, he is joined by another big favourite, magician Peter Baffles, whose tricks and illusions continually intrigue and mesmerise. The duo establishes an immediate rapport ensuring lively audience participation

Director and producer Colin Matthews maintains a long-held tradition of offering traditional live variety shows with modern effects and lighting. All-time favourites blend with modern arrangements that include highlights from Jesus Christ Superstar, Sister Act and Starlight Express.

Holly Cosgrove (The Voice) and Eloise Cole (The X Factor) impress with their vocals. Choreographed by Georgia Lee, six-girl team Danze Fantazy keep the show moving in a range of energetic routines.

Completing the ensemble talented duo Barry Elmer and Luke Sampson are vocalists with good looks and outgoing personalities.

With plenty of laughter, there's something for everyone from a cast of seasoned performers and bright new talent in this happy and colourful show.
