You've heard of a booze cruise - now there's the nude cruise.

People out on boats off the Devon were amazed when a pleasure boat sailed past full of naked people.

The boat operated by Exmouth-based Stuart Line was hired by naturists.

And it caused a stir as it sailed off the Devon coast on Friday night, passing close to one group where this video was shot.

The people on the boat were clearly enjoying the experience, some taking in the view at dusk from the top deck and others apparently dancing in the cabin below, where there was a bar.

According to the British Naturism website, the cruise costing £17.50 in advance and £20 on the day, and included a buffet and live entertainment.

It was organised by Torbay Sun Club but was open to anyone.

The post on the website added: "The format will be much the same as in previous years, but this year, for your enhanced enjoyment, Billy & Martine will be accompanied by a saxophonist.

"There will also be a prize draw taking place to raise additional funds for this very popular event."

Torbay Sun Club describes itself as one of the UK's largest naturist swim and sauna clubs and it caters for people of all ages and from all walks of life.

It says on its website: "Naturism is good outdoors too and, weather permitting, there are plenty of ways of enjoying it on the beach or at many other locations."

In terms of the legal position of being naked in public view, the club says: "Nudity would only be an offence if it were intended to cause alarm or distress.

"Away from Clubs, private houses and 'official' or well used naturist venues, we recommend sensible courtesy to anyone who might be upset by nudity.
